I think ND populations are drawn to content that uplift or highlight individuals who are divergent within their canon universe. X-Men, Marvel, Fantasy centered on a protagonist entering a foreign world, horror etc
I also think we are inclined to treat our inner child with the content as well

It took our people longer to accept gayness and we just now getting started with the ADHD/Autism etc
