Market Street in Philadelphia has some gorgeous new raised bike lanes. Love it!

Here's a map of the vote on City of Yes for Housing last year--the commie corridor is solid green, and outer-borough moderates voted no. It's not a perfect correlation (cough Chris Marte), but the pattern is revealing IMHO

This is brilliant, props to @ldpreload.com

Like, this is the 7 train under construction (somewhere in Corona, I believe); at the time it was basically greenfields, and now it's fully built up with midrise apartment buildings.

Gun people can't be trusted with gun safety. The guy teaching this "class" is the busiest instructor in the city. www.thecity.nyc/2025/11/12/n...

This seems like the Wario version of this graph. It takes very little to move a bicycle a long way!

Define "a lot". How many people in NYC a) find the bus fare a significant burden and b) aren't already eligible for Fair Fares?

FWIW, the cost of the fare is one of the lowest-ranked priorities in the MTA customer survey, ranking well behind wait times and crowding. www.mta.info/document/163...

"As people vote with their feet and their increasingly powerful calves" is truly incredible journalism. Well done, @davecolon.bsky.social

Up early handing out fliers for @yesonaffhousing.bsky.social! Be like @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and vote YES on Propositions 2, 3, 4 and 5!

A minor tidbit from the "conservatives in revolt" story in the NY Post. The state-level GOP YIMBY movement runs aground at the national level, I guess. nypost.com/2025/11/03/u...

It's a tweet that became a meme back in the day; top of mind for me because of the mayoral.

The map of individual tickets is interesting as well.

I genuinely wonder what Cuomo means by "Democrat" here (I've seen his supporters say this a lot). Zohran is a registered Dem, a member of the Democratic caucus in Albany, won the Democratic primary. What else is there? www.thecity.nyc/2025/10/26/e...

NYC: early voting starts today! Come out and vote yes on Props 2-5!

This is the key excerpt to my mind. The way back to normalcy is through consequences for everyone who caves to Trump.
