Thanks for doing this! In the wake of the loss of functioning Clear volume in FIJI/ImageJ, I went through a similar process. It is a *GREAT* platform but takes more effort to get started (and render the figures you want) than the easy/WYSIWYG of the ClearVolume GUI.

This is unconscionable un-governance. So sorry that we as a country have failed you and your colleagues so badly.

With no disrespect to the colleagues that have worked there, my experience at Nat Comms as a (extremely stressed) junior PI made me try as much as possible to steer papers towards quality society journals. Even if a profit is being made by a publisher, at least there is a side-benefit to the society

I think this is a result of someone trying to explain networking via fiber optics to a person in 5th grade.

My rationale: this is how I talk to my fifth grade kids about things they haven't learned yet.

In communicating (trying, at least) with relatives w/differing points of view: this is key. If Johnson's "I haven't seen it" (even if a lie) aligns with their media consumption, they just got affirmation that they are like him and get to keep ignoring it.

It will all make sense after you watch it.
