There's certainly things to complain about but making it easier is never one of them. Especially in 30k those rules are *dense* Anything to make it easier to get started is a good thing

As far as I can tell there's a surprisingly sizable chunk of the 30k community that seems to just...hate 30k and do nothing but complain about it.
