The Apocalypse Tapestry is a large medieval set of tapestries currently held in Chateau d’Angers in France. The tapestry was commissioned by Louis I, the Duke of Anjou and is dated to the late 14th century. It depicts the story of the apocalypse from the Book of Revelation in the Bible.

Originally built in the early 13th century as a defensive measure for the clans of Scotland, Eilean Donan Castle played a role in the Jacobite risings of the 17th and 18th centuries, which ultimately culminated in the castle’s destruction. The castle was rebuilt in 1932.
