I'm really trying to understand why they'd use THAC0 and THAC (which is used in the 4th edition Gamma World RPG), but look at all these modifiers you need to remember for specific situations..
Why were ttrpgs so much more complicated back then? I can't wrap my head around it.

I will say that the most enticing part of Gamma World is the flavor of the artwork. It's definitely what initially drew me in.
It's fascinating how the concept we have of a technologically advanced future changes as we as a society do.
