Got to drive a 1998 Saab 9000 CSE last weekend. It was incredible. So smooth and tight compared to any other comparable shitbox I’ve driven. I want it so bad and it’s for sale at a really low price point but I have to be “financially responsible”

My third car I miss the most. My ‘84 Subaru GL wagon. It was the FWD model but still excellent in snow and light off-road conditions. I went pretty far back on forest service roads when I became homeless and spent some time living in the natural forest.

The DeSoto pictured in my last post was my first car. My second was this ‘95 shitbox Saturn. It had a 1.9L DOHC four cylinder with a five speed transaxle. I spent a lot of time ripping through the canyons late at night like a dumbass with this thing. I took it all the way to northern Washington

Been wanting to get to work on this guy for a long time. Easter 2024 was the last time I had her on the road, and just for a neighborhood jaunt at that. I’m hoping someday in the near future I can pull the engine, replace all the original expansion plugs that keep failing, and repaint the block

This could possibly improve downforce in the front end and reduce the possibility of going airborne due to high pressure zones under the front end of the vehicle, much like the front end aero of a Ford GT40

The challenge here would be finding a good location for an intercooler since the sub compact mid engine design really doesn’t have any spare room for one on either end
