Went to the Gundam Base pop-up.
Human sized Gundam Aerial in the mall. A lil snap together model kit the pop-up gives away for free. The three Gundam Base grand opening limited kits on display with a unique color palette. More Gunpla kits on display.

Chicago, Chicago forever if I can.
US map of states color coded to my preferences for living in that state. Illinois is the only dark green, light green in Minnesota Oregon and Washington. The northeast is a lot of maybe, and similar in the southwest. Most of the country is red. This map could correspond to the state of trans people's rights to live a free and open life in these states.

The images in the joke come from the Simpsons when Hank Scorpio tries to build a segregated community of the wealthy workers at GLOBEX and they replace a homeless man begging with a Mailbox. The joke speaks to how segregation works to make the problems of the marginalized invisible to the communities with any power to make changes happen, and they live in a carefully crafted world built on obscuring the issues of the world through misinformation.

I got a new doggo, and she's becoming fast friends with our old doggo. They'll actually nap with each other! Moira was such a shy, antisocial, grump; and the outgoing, friendly, joyful Joanie is breaking through those walls Moira put up.
