I used to automate physical operations, but I succumbed to software a couple of decades ago. Now, I automate information exchanges.
Good question. Depends on who is asking and what contract they are holding

It was simply the first timestamp that popped into my head, but it’s hard to measure “arrived at warehouse”. Do you mean when the truck arrived, when the goods were unloaded, or when the goods are stocked and ready to sell?

I segment data in “fact” and “opinion” buckets so we can easily identify which is which and tune our models. Ex:

“Arrived at port timestamp” is a fact.

“Arrived on time” is an emotional opinion, depending on which promised date it’s compared to.

“Arrived on time” gets litigated in a dispute.

Wait. Those posts were genuine questions?!

I thought they were trying to be funny. Surely no adult could be this uneducated, right?

We saved a library near our shared makerspace. It had replaced book shelves with computers and trained people in job skills. Such a useful local service! Significantly reduced the # of loiterers nearby, but was slated to close.

We requested books for pickup at that branch. Even read several of them

Who pays for this and who takes care of the child, should this very early pregnancy actually produce one?

Do these TEU numbers include empty containers? So, the slump may be larger than these numbers indicate.

It’s as if Trump thought “I liked 2020 shortages! Let’s go back to where I left off last time!”

And here, I was simply concerned that some of our engineers were moonlighting and not actually working full time on my projects

Philosophy is DEI?

I know some very conservative republican lawyers who were philosophy majors

Meanwhile, my company just announced that they will be measuring the diversity of candidate pools on age, gender, and ethnicity. We aren’t forced to hire them, but we do have to interview them. We want our engineers to reflect the %s in our customer base. Makes better products and stronger teams

Shouldn’t he be wearing a tie? And did he even thank us for sending him prisoners?

If I build robots for a living, does that turn me into a man?
