CSA is deeply rooted in pretty much all aspects of our culture, around every corner. and the victims are silenced around every corner. 99% of us have not and will never receive justice, and our assaulters will walk free their entire lives as if nothing happened

when every top comment about the epstein files and lack of justice is a cheap joke about tr*mp being a pedo to get Sick Updoots, when we have to listen to ppl argue about semantics, etc. it's so discouraging because literally nobody listens to us and nobody seems to take this problem seriously

i generally have been avoiding the internet lately due to many conversations just outright silencing or undermining the experience of CSA and grooming in all aspects of life, but have been working thru it and just feel compelled to highlight it as a survivor myself.

i don't think most ppl really grasp 1) how extremely, insanely common CSA actually is in our society & 2) how infrequently people who commit CSA are actually punished. yet, i see ppl treating high-profile CSA survivors /w proof/ be used as the butt of jokes & gotchas - even ppl "on our side"

it is a difficult time to be a CSA/grooming survivor on the net right now so i encourage you to think a little carefully about how you talk about certain topics re: current events. it is beyond disheartening to watch society at large disparage what happens to so many of us with so little justice
