Isolating myself at home this week to get a bunch of new science done (and also some mandatory reflective writing 😬), but getting to spend the days with the pup is really helpful for staying balanced and getting outside!

I've been reading Alan Turing's Manchester by Jonathan Swinton (loving it so far) and these photos of women embroidering in front of the Ferranti Mark I are awesome. They're adverts to show that little intervention is required for these machines, but apparently that wasn't so.

We had a gorgeous beach walk on our last day in Scotland. The tide went out and left behind a bunch of colourful bits, even a piece of ceramic! The drive home was the thickest fog I've ever driven in, but worth it for the morning sun ☀️
