It's like those people who insist single-player games are dead. No, they aren't: millions of us are playing them every day. And millions of us are reading Epic Fantasy, Sword & Sorcery, Military Fantasy, etc. There's room for everyone's tastes!

I get it: business is business and all that, but readers are a varied group. We don't all go for what is popular on booktok and booktube. And I wish publishers would take more chances on great books that aren't following the current trends. They have a right to exist too.

Like....what chance do I have to ever get published, if established authors get their series cancelled just like that, and what I write is never in line with what is "hip and happening"?
