For years now, I’ve had a tiny Christmas tree. I replaced the old one for one slightly bigger a few years ago because I loved this bronze tinsel. Upgraded the lights to USB plug in, made new ornaments. It sits on my nightstand. Got some fandom things on it. 🎄

I’ve wanted one of these for YEARS, started collecting roses I liked back in, I think, 2018? Was waiting til I had enough components and a good-sized frame. It has all my fave flowers & rose quartz on it. I’m incredibly happy with how it turned out. #wreath #flowerarrangements #diywreath #witchy

After looking at a ton of 17th and 18th century pin cushions/pillows/balls, I decided to make one. I deliberately made it look like a young teen might do while learning. It’s wool thread on unbleached muslin. The loop is for attaching to the chatelaine I’m making.

I’ve embroidered Jacobean designs on an apron. The top was done in October, the pocket this past week. Five months made quite a difference in my skills. I’m planning to revisit the top and clean it up a bit but not right now. #embroidery #diy #jacobeanembroidery

This picture is very satisfying to me. But I’ve realised I need more of the DMC Eco Vita wool flosses because my autism needs to have ALL the colours. And Joann might close and they’re the only vendor near me. So. #embroidery #dmc #diy

This is how the box came. I would have loved to buy an actual vintage one but the only one I’ve seen in my area was $50 and every compartment had cracked and split boards on the bottom. This one had ordinary screws and the levers were right against the wood, difficult to open.

I’ve always wanted a sewing box like this, so I bought the base box, stained it, switched out the screws, hinges, added locks, feet, and wood appliqués. Covered the protruding screws. Used Rub’n’Buff on the appliqués and screws, then antiqued it. Might darken the antiquing. #diy #sewing #woodworking

Was worried I wouldn’t be able to get this, so I talked my parents into driving me to Target on Black Friday. Can’t drive yet. The store was pretty much empty. The book and vinyl were low in stock but plenty of CDs.

I’m a huge Trekkie. Never seen the animated series, not really a DS9 fan, but I love everything else. ALL of it. Kelvinverse is my fave, followed by Discovery and Strange New Worlds.

I do paint (mostly acrylics, sometimes watercolour), but mostly I use Prismacolor pencils.

I have three cats, which I may post frequently. Misty is the Siamese. She’s frighteningly intelligent. And kinda evil. Currently eight months old. Jyn Purrso is the calico. Seven months old. Hilarious, chatty, brain of an orange. And last but not least, Miwer. 16 years, grumpy but sweet.

I saw that “bad art” is trending. Wanted to share a terrible drawing I did in 2018 and then the redo from two years later. Same source pic. One thing I’ve found that really helps is finding the size that works for you. The left is an 11x14” paper. The right is 5.5x8.5”.
