Because it probably needs to be said: I’m left-wing. I’m pro-LGBTQIA+ rights. I’m pro-women’s reproductive rights and pro-choice. I’m pro-vaccine, pro-science. I’m also pagan-leaning and anti-hypocritical-“Christian”. So basically anti-incoming-US-presidential-administration.
For years now, I’ve had a tiny Christmas tree. I replaced the old one for one slightly bigger a few years ago because I loved this bronze tinsel. Upgraded the lights to USB plug in, made new ornaments. It sits on my nightstand. Got some fandom things on it. 🎄

I’ve wanted one of these for YEARS, started collecting roses I liked back in, I think, 2018? Was waiting til I had enough components and a good-sized frame. It has all my fave flowers & rose quartz on it. I’m incredibly happy with how it turned out. #wreath #flowerarrangements #diywreath #witchy

I embroidered a tea towel! Now I just need a pie plate that says “I hope your apple pie was frigging worth it!”

After looking at a ton of 17th and 18th century pin cushions/pillows/balls, I decided to make one. I deliberately made it look like a young teen might do while learning. It’s wool thread on unbleached muslin. The loop is for attaching to the chatelaine I’m making.

I’ve embroidered Jacobean designs on an apron. The top was done in October, the pocket this past week. Five months made quite a difference in my skills. I’m planning to revisit the top and clean it up a bit but not right now. #embroidery #diy #jacobeanembroidery

I’ve always wanted a sewing box like this, so I bought the base box, stained it, switched out the screws, hinges, added locks, feet, and wood appliqués. Covered the protruding screws. Used Rub’n’Buff on the appliqués and screws, then antiqued it. Might darken the antiquing. #diy #sewing #woodworking

Had to have emergency surgery today to deal w/ a hematoma that was compromising my original incision from surgery on Nov 27. I was awake for this one, done under local. I would have preferred general anesthesia. I did get literal doctor’s orders to treat myself to a donut after, so that was fun.

Was worried I wouldn’t be able to get this, so I talked my parents into driving me to Target on Black Friday. Can’t drive yet. The store was pretty much empty. The book and vinyl were low in stock but plenty of CDs.

Had surgery on Wednesday to complete post-mastectomy reconstruction. They gave me a blood thinner shot to prevent blood clots. That made the hematoma I had forming under the incision start draining out, which completely freaked me out. How was YOUR Thanksgiving?

You know what? I WISH Taylor Swift’s songs had narcotics in them. Because then I could listen to some tunes and get some relief from my chronic pain.
