Too little too late in the cricket, all really changed (obviously) on the 2nd day of the 1st test, a strong fightback on day 1 then could actually have laid something out for the whole series but it didn't happen and here we are after 11 days of cricket.
Hopefully Beau Webster gets a go now #Ashes

But for any chance needed a Greaves/Roach performance, that was dreaming but could you imagine if that happened. May have been a closer game. Aussies keep winning 5/4-0 in Aus what happens to Ashes? Tourism income only thing keeping it to 5 games??

Obviously very poor again in the Ashes. Some level headed batting this morning and looking at overall there was a point that needed that yesterday with the top order so the lower order can go at it when the ball is old (how it used to be) Unfortunately at stage where avoiding 5-0 is a bonus #AusvEng

Great chase that by the Aussies, yes it was an absolute road but going to be difficult to get past them. India on wrong side of 5 of the top 7 chases in Women's ODIs

Final day of the season then, hopefully Essex do the job (fairly quick be nice for football & others this afternoon).
Same format then next season, for CC games, it's the other stuff that needs sorting,1 less blast hopefully less back to back will help with that.

An emotional Dickie Bird wipes away a tear after being given a guard of honour by England and India at the start of his 66th and last Test, Lord's, June 20th 1996. He retired from all cricket at the end of the following summer

3rd highhest total in T20is there by England in the cricket, highest against a full member nation.

I'd have been happy with 220 at the start!

Not the tail again! although a bit more difficult when their aim is just to survive and rain is on the way.
September 11, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Well even day. Essex have to break their problem of the season and finish the tail quickly tomorrow, then bat against the new ball which did things then all good for batting. #EssvDur

Sun filled Chelmsford, Durham scoring freely. Essex a bit loose even Harmer struggling to control them.

Well only seen the trophy ceremony is it a bit rubbish the same team winning each year or something for the other teams to step up?

Football do not mention
Cricket another win 4 out of 5 wins superb left it too late this season
1 game left already at that stage 😭

Our game was done by 4.30 today, not had that feeling for a long time but absolutely brilliant to have it again! #cricket

Well the football is back, watching a dour 0-0 on the TV is a reminder to enjoy the cricket while it lasts

The argument may go that you've played 25 days of Test Cricket and you don't have a winner but listening to the way the players spoke there Test cricket definitely a winner despite (or because?) of some acrimony during the series #EngvInd

If India do win then it shows why these high numbers are rarely chased. Can we get a tie here?
August 4, 2025 at 10:33 AM
I mean England and India arrogance seems to be right up there. England getting all angry last test match wanting game to end. India thinking they can do what they want they want before this game. Very tetchy on pitch with umpires involved. This at top level no wonder you now see club video incidents
