Made some soup yesterday. Mirepoix with extra carrot, onion, and celery; couscous; mixed frozen vegetables; spinach; broth, basil, oregano, parsley, and thyme. Stretch those food dollars.

New kitty who’s come to the balcony twice in two days. Not sure if she’s feral. I very much wish people would take care of their pets so I don’t have to. I feel so bad that I can’t do more, but I cannot do more without risking my home and safety.

The world is so anxiety-inducing and depressing. Sometimes I just need a break from worrying about people whose lives the Trump administration fascists are actively destroying.

My girl Alice, mad as hell (see the fat tail) about outside cat Lennie on the patio. Lennie is a stray and I can’t find a rescue place for him, even with the rescue I’ve fostered with for over a decade. (I don’t believe that they don’t have space, but that’s a different story.)
