I used magic loop for my first sock and DPNs for my second, and DPNs went much better for me. I like the fit of my socks, but I wasn't a fan of picking up stitches in every row -- so I might not do this construction again either.

My LYS has had well attended classes for learning new skills (steeking, brioche, short row heels). If you're thinking of short online tutorials maybe something cable-related (w/o a cable needle or fixing mistakes)? Your Belmullet sweater is in my queue. 🤗
