Good morning. Monday morning. In a rank choice voting system you need to rank five good apples for mayor in addition to NOT ranking Cuomo and NOT ranking Adams.

I hate these bastards in Silicon Valley so much for what they've done to the idea of tech. The idea that we as a collective people could work together to improve our lives through ingenuity, collaboration, and determination. Instead, it's become a ponzi scheme based on the idea of line goes up.

Regimes seem solid until they are not. Every resistance act matters because often regimes are crumbling from within from corruption and yet good at hiding that fact. cc: Russia

The word of the year should have been “enshittification.”

While inane, this is a threat to the ACLU under the new admin. I’m no expert, but I imagine the ACLU Foundation could be targeted via HR9495 (pending Senate), perhaps by showing use of funds to defend people associated with BLM or other groups that they may likely try to label terroristic.
I’m curious how much federal funding he thinks the ACLU receives (it’s none).

An important message, explicitly stating what we need to know in this moment: there is no “both sides” to be had in media when one side is truth & the other is lies.

“The bromide of just being balanced is a terrible dereliction of journalists’ first defining responsibility of reporting the truth.”

Both Texas and Georgia are destroying evidence of all maternal mortality, blocking proof that women are dying from abortion bans.

This story has a lot more going on than you think. Especially since Republicans are lying about the public cases.

Republicans don't care if women die from abortion bans — but they don't want you to know about it

One of fascism's main tactics is to physically and mentally exhaust you. To flood the zone with outrageous bullshit, to make you bite on a dozen pump-fakes — so that when the real shot comes, you're too worn out to react.

We need to pace ourselves. It's only been a week. Alert fatigue is dangerous
