I get why Torkelson isn't going, but he deserves an AL spot. Best power hitting 1st baseman in AL, and it isn't even close. But, no room for him.

But yes, I 100% agree on the pen, as well. Hilton and Brieske not performing like they did last year is hurting. I have faith that they'll bring in a reliever or two, though. I don't have faith that they'll pull the trigger on a starter, and I think that's just as important for October.

The Olson and Jobe injuries are really highlighting our lack of starting depth. What do we do if we lose Flaherty or Mize this week, which aren't unrealistic scenarios based on their pasts? Matt Manning? We need a mid-rotation guy, if for no other reason than to improve our depth.

Are the Tigers giving Navigato a look at 3rd? I realize he's a long shot, but he hit last year in AAA, and is hitting in ST this year. I have no idea how he is with the glove, but I think he's worth at least a look...
