Daikin Park is a beautiful stadium, and I would love to catch a game there. But it's a joke of a stadium from an actual baseball perspective.

Not a Vol fan, even though I live in Tennessee. But UT did right in the Nico case. I'm all for players getting paid, but there has to be some type of policing of it. What that is, I don't know. A salary cap? Actual contracts signed? I'm not smart enough to know, but I do know this will hurt NCAA.

Yzerman gets one more year. He's done a great job rebuilding the system as a whole, but it's past time to make a few moves and get back into the playoffs in 2026.

Congrats to Cade! Make Detroit proud!
I love baseball, but they need to change their off-season model. It's insane that sprint training is weeks away, and legit stars are still looking for a home. Imagine if Patrick Mahomes was still a free agent two weeks prior to training camp opening.

It's time for the Tigers to have serious discussions regarding Skubal. Will they be able to resign him? Boras likely won't advise him to sign an early extension, so then Detroit will be competing with the Dodgers, Yankees, and everyone else for him as a FA. Do they trade him??

The Lions get the Commanders next week. Thoughts? I'm always worried when the Lions face a QB who can run, but I do think this was the best outcome for the Lions. Can't wait for Saturday night!

I stop paying attention to both the Pistons and the Red Wings, and they both snap off 5 game win streaks and get in position to make playoff runs. Guess I need to keep ignoring them for a bit longer, if it's helping them win!

Looks like my Bregman to Detroit prediction didn't come true, but barring a crazy collapse, the Lions win the NFC North! So, I'd say the weekend was overall a success.

Happy New Year! In 2025, I want to see the Tigers return to the playoffs, the Lions win the Super Bowl, the Pistons make the play-in, and the Wings finally secure the number one pick in the draft, where they're able to get a true franchise player ( Maybe? I don't follow NHL draft close enough.)

Finish the season beating Ohio and Alabama. Moore gets noticeably better at game management as the year progresses. Potentially great incoming class. All things considered, I'd classify 2024 as a successful year for the Michigan Wolverines.

Tiger's off-season has been meh so far. Signing a certain Gold Glove 3rd baseman sure would change that for the better. Bring Bregman to Detroit! And let's go all-in on our pitch to Sasaki, while we're at it.
