The Firework Control Zone in Pollokshields is definitely working thus far. Been night and day from usual Bonfire Night. Her hearing reducing has been a blessing of sorts.

This morning I have written to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice @angelaconstance.bsky.social MSP to register our concern over plans by the Home Secretary to provide new protest policing powers to police forces in England and Wales and to ascertain if the CabSec intends to mirror this in Scots law.

We should be better than this. No one should be made to live this way in fear when the UK is supposed to be providing safety and sanctuary. This is a shameful act and I hope those responsible are caught and prosecuted swiftly. Political leaders need to condemn this escalation.
