This caught my attention. I haven't heard any economist chime in on it yet but I bet it's getting the attention of people that have to sell a house (for whatever reason).

Republicans keep telling you how bad the economy was under Biden yet...look at these stats.

Who knew? Twitter/X is full of fake accounts talking about fake accounts.

Seriously though, it's a great episode. See if you can figure out what Elon was thinking we he turned it on. (He knew, right? Right?)

I wish I was this creative. 😀❤️😂

"The activists each purchased an ice scraper for just 17 cents at the store before getting back in line to return the item. The act clogged customer service lines, something they say is a political act urging Home Depot to keep federal agents out of their stores."

Demonstrators used a unique and symbolic measure to denounce the ongoing immigration actions across Los Angeles County over the weekend at a Home Depot store in Monrovia.

Who, in their right mind, would ever draw Districts like this?

Seriously. What kind of criteria could you use that would render a shape like the orange one below?

I'll post the link in the remarks so you can check it out. It's the Alabama House 2021 map. Wait until you see this web page.

Donald J. Trump is a disaster for America.

"A recent annual ranking of national brands based on a survey of 40,000 people listed the United States brand image as 14th in the world. “Which is by far the lowest it's ever been, and the first time that it's ever dropped out of the top 10,..."

How close is Downtown Huntsville to turning Blue?

39 votes.

See that dark Blue precinct to the west? Kamala Harris won that precinct by 673 votes.

One precinct at a time. Next thing you know, Madison County is Blue. (From the @nytimes.com. Red highlights are mine. Link in the remarks.)

While we're on the County Commission meeting, "The People's Patch" got mentioned today. Most of the county doesn't know about it. They should. A lot of good is being done out there.

Did you know you can watch the Madison County (AL) Commission meetings on line?

They are held every other Wednesday at 10AM (at where else? The Madison County Courthouse on the Courthouse Square) so they might be hard to attend for some folks.

Interesting monetary figures included in the story. For instance, it appears rookie Representative Shomari Figures brought more rural-projects money into the state than Senator (wannabe Governor) Tuberville.

It does make the point of how much money the military brings to Alabama.
Here’s what Alabama's military bases and rural communities will get from full-year spending bills.
Alabama's military bases will get more than $169 million for construction projects and rural communities will receive around $29 million.

It's a long read (Duh, @theatlantic.com) but it's well worth your time.

Speaking of which, you have time to prepare. Get involved. Volunteer to be a poll worker. Or a poll watcher. Or, best of all, run for office.

Defeating Trump will not be cost-free, easy or painless. But it must be done.
