On the side of hope and not hate but am disappointed in humanity. Am expecting the worst but would love to be wrong. Pay attention to the important stuff and filter out noise. Trying hard not to despair.

You can definitely begin to feel hope again in February. You start to notice both daylight returning slowly and life beginning again, with pastel shaded buds appearing. There’s nothing good about January though.

More seriously, the UK Prime Minister and most politicians have made absolute idiots of themselves in linking violence around a particular football team to antisemitism, but that might be better than the alternative of riots and deaths in Birmingham in a couple of weeks.
