What? You don’t want to get all done up like Gloria Swanson in Airport ‘75?

What are you even doing?

If I absolutely positively needed a car, and this dude was the last car salesman on Earth, I would not buy a car.

In a so-bad-it’s-good way?

Been following the #TCMParty posts and I feel like I need to watch this.

Just watched it on Sky News. The judge’s remarks should be required watching for the White House.

If “too big to fail” was the line in 2008, maybe “too much to impeach” is the 2025 version?

I don’t know what political tactics Dems have at their disposal; that’s your wheelhouse. But I feel like shit’s turning around the last few weeks and Dems gotta go on smart offense before they can’t.

If the threat of impeachment means nothing because nothing seems impeachable, then why focus on that option?

But if some act - in this case, calling-not-calling for Dems to be executed - IS impeachable, doesn’t that imply all the other shit is not impeachable or even important?

Epstein! Gotta be Epstein!

Should be. In a normal world, Epstein would have prevented Trump 2.0. We’ll see how that goes.

Maybe it’ll be accusing Dems of seditious behavior and echoing calls for their execution.

Which leads me to my ultimate argument…

Ok, how about blatant self-enrichment via Bitcoin and barely-veiled bribes like gold bars and jets. Nope.

Bombing fishing boats in the Caribbean? Murmurs barely louder than crickets.

Regardless, Rep. Al Green filed some Articles back in June and they went over as well as a fart in the wind.

Do we start with extrajudicial renditions to CECOT or wherever? Maybe wonky legal angles like rescissions or dismantling agencies in violation of statute?

Surely abusing the pardon power to put a shitload of J6 goons back on the street qualifies. No?

Interfering in business deals? Huh?

In 10 months, this guy’s managed to do all kinds of Very Bad Stuff. I’d be hard pressed to find a day since his inauguration when he _didn’t_ commit an impeachable act, much less a mere crime like extortion or murder.

Given that, where does impeachment start?

In the interim, the GOP House ginned up all kinds of “impeachment” shit which further diminished the gravity of its meaning.

Now we get Trump 2.0.

First, I agree with you for the most part. None of this is trying to bust your chops.

My sense is this: we’ve been down the impeachment road for this asshole twice in the last 5 years. Both times failed for reasons not worth getting into again.

p11-12: "… it’s obvious what Texas is trying to do in 2025. The Republicans’ national margin in the House of Representatives is so slim that…a majority might even depend…on whether some seats are vacant..."

Isn't that the essence of "judicial activism?"

Tyler Lemons sounds like he’s trying to sidestep his way out of some serious legal sanctions and career consequences.

“Just following the boss’ orders about this secret-not-secret memo, Your Honor. Was I not supposed to say that ?”

They've been coming around the last several weeks. Karl and Stephenopolous have been throwing elbows.

Hopefully Mary Bruce still has a job after this.

Even though there's dozens of Epstein's victims saying "release all the files," there's something so purely GOP 2025 about a white man in a position of power telling them that it "has to be done the right way."

As if there was a "right way" for those women from the start.
