April Fools or not, we really need to stop with the theme park accounts that post AI slop. "I typed two sentences and got shitty concept art immediately, for free, & with no work" isn't a flex. It's an embarrassment. Sketch your idea yourself – even if you're no good at it! Practice! Learn! Grow!

It's not about the PRODUCT, it's about the PROCESS. When I post park buildouts, I get TONS of DMs of people sending me their own sketched-out ideas, and I LOVE IT even (and especially) when they're simple sketches. It's about the feedback! The considering! The adjusting! The learning and growth!

Thorpe can be quite pretty when it wants to be.

It seems there are two #AltonTowers lately:

The version from 9am-10am, before any rides have opened and you can just enjoy a lovely walk through the landscape, the towers and the setting.

Then 10am onwards, when they try to open any of the rides and it becomes a shambles.

The Phalanx logo with the eye in the middle is beautiful.

All the merch, please.

It's a shame we don't have Intamin track like Colossus in #PlanetCoaster 2 when we did in PlanCo 1.

The Intamin Mega track with the Goliath-style trains only has the square track rather than the flat and triangular track Colossus has.

How busy do passholder days typically get?

Looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you at Thorpe next Sunday 😀

Just me or is the Sub-Terra advert one of the best #AltonTowers have ever done?

This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II.

Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.

So we're all taking over Postman Pat Parcel Post on opening day, right?

Been thinking about Compound (again):

I wonder how well-understood/received the story was among people who don't visit #AltonTowers often or don't know all the Nemesis lore.

I loved it because I treat Sub-Terra as a storytelling experience more than a ride. But maybe not everyone felt that way.

Yesterday, I shared the first batch of my Park Paths art series, exploring how the pathways of Disney's six "Castle Parks" help tell their stories and personalities. Let's keep going! 🧵
Park Paths: The Histories and Personalities of Disney & Universal Theme Parks As Seen from a New Perspective - Park Lore
“Here you leave today and enter the worlds of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.” Since 1955, those words have welcomed guests into Disneyland, and their spirit pervades Disney theme parks across the…

I know this isn't super-accurate scientific analysis, but the #UniversalGB site is roughly as long North-South as the entire #AltonTowers Resort is East-West. I'd never realised how huge it is.

Ed and Edda's Grand Prix Edventure is genuinely going to be better than the #F1 movie.

If Sharkbait Reef did close as part of these SEA LIFE cuts, what would you want to replace it?

It's probably a smaller space than it seems but probably good potential for another walkthrough attraction at least.
