#MTTColumbiaRCA CD 14 Tchaikovsky’s Orchestral Suites 2 and 4. Oh these are marvellous performances, delivered with colour and panache by an orchestra on tremendous form. The strings are particularly incisive and characterful. MTT is a dab hand at this fare.

New acquisition. Michael Tilson Thomas complete RCA, Sony and Columbia recordings on 80 discs. I have a scattering of these including outstanding Debussy, Copland, Ives and Mahler, but the vast majority are new to me. What a treat! #classicalmusic
