Instead of generating them from authentic infant portraits, I instead used war archives that gave the melancholic blue hues, the indistinct contours, and the palpable fragility of these artificial portraits.

I want the project to remind me of society's reductive view of human reproduction: a mere accumulation of numbers. And to reflect the pressure on women to bear children, only for society to later consign them to war and comsumption.
