Orion, Taurus, Auriga and Perseus, plus Jupiter. So many stars in this shot. Betelgeuse, Rigel, Bellatrix, Aldebaran, Capella, the Hyades and Pleiades, and the Orion Nebula, all there.

Caravaggio. IMHO, the greatest painter ever. Today I got to see his greatest master work, the Beheading of St John the Baptist (plus St Jerome writing). Still processing it all.

For my next book, on which I have been already working for a while, I’ll be studying the First Anglo-Asante War of 1823-1831. With some luck, I may even publish the book in 2031, on time for the 200th anniversary of the Cape Coast Treaty that concluded the war. #BSKyHistorians #SkyHistorians
