For my next book, on which I have been already working for a while, I’ll be studying the First Anglo-Asante War of 1823-1831. With some luck, I may even publish the book in 2031, on time for the 200th anniversary of the Cape Coast Treaty that concluded the war. #BSKyHistorians #SkyHistorians
Pirate Imperialism is now officially published. Probably of interest to anyone who wants to understand, well, everything that is going on today. #bskyhistorians #skyhistorians

A steep climb up the rankings, which comes to no surprise to those who get to work here. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
We're delighted to announce the University of Bath has achieved its highest-ever ranking in the QS World University Rankings 2026 since the introduction of independent rankings in 2010.

"...the birth of the last desperate snatch at the last tuft of grass on the very verge of the precipice." What a sobering read, this one.
