The image should work. Only issue with images if the plugin cannot upload the image to bsky because of 1MB limit. We do try to find a size that works, but if it fails it failed.

Like I said, haven't actually followed the discussion. But it wouldn't surprise me that it was just an oversight. When you paste your link the parser moves it to embed, so there just might be a missing logic for end of post etc, that nobody noticed/cared.

Not that I am aware, but I only think it is because nobody asked. Probably just a something they missed when they created the frontend parser.

ATProto stores it as special object app.bsky.embed.external, so you are not losing any info. Everybody should be doing that. My autoshare plugin handles is that way.

cname would be a good solution to link multiple usernames, especially for company subdomains, your main could still be your private, but your company could link to it

very limiting, one use case I am considering is having separate handles different language posts or for different type of content, i.e. @en.mbanusic.com, by limiting regards to first part nobody else would be able to that
