The Nintendo DS (along with the Wii) was a bright spot in an otherwise not great console generation for me. It's my favorite Nintendo handheld next to the 3DS and I ended up amassing SO many games for it.

I can't get over how accurate the N64 core in Ares looks. It's especially noticeable with the text in Paper Mario. Older, less accurate emulators could screw up the text, (and 2D elements in N64 games in general) including the Wii Virtual Console version
