OH teenagers on the train.

”I asked ChatGPT and he said that Triangle [train station] is the closest [to where we are going]”

I’m not sure I like how things are going.

I’m sure a maps app would be more fit for purpose here.

But also … maybe I’m old yelling at clouds.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

I love this story. We’ve all been there and we were all surprised to find out what they actually needed.

The one I remember was a custom drop down box that was three levels deep.

The real solution - autocomplete while typing.
An older blogpost of mine came up in conversation today

«Filtered through 4 layers of middle management there was no real explanation, only the sentiment had survived the transfer:

“IT’S REALLY IMPORTANT!! THEY CANNOT USE THE SYSTEM WITHOUT IT!!!”»

Fighting ghosts in the machine today.

I have several tech products. Both software and hardware fail on me today - all independent of each other.

But all creating issues in my work.

It’s not been a great day.

Share a movie that takes place where you’re from.

A movie that takes place where I’m from.

And a tv-series that takes place where I currently live.

Yeah. I think we deserve the poetry that turns LLMs evil.

Any thoughts?

Last Friday I went out of my way to buy some nice beer.

In the evening I got a sinus infection followed by an eye infection on Sunday.

Today it's Friday again.

I'm looking forward to that nice beer I bought last week.

Bellingcat’s contact email has always been a magnet for people with fairly unusual views; paranoid delusions, sprawling conspiracies, the works. But recently, the pattern has shifted, we’re seeing more and more emails clearly written with ChatGPT.

More is the norm.

More is a convenient way of ignoring resources - of avoiding to figure out how much is enough.

We like to blame bean counting - but I think the problem is we didn't count enough. If we knew how many beans we needed we wouldn't always be going for more.

When I talk about vibing I mean that feeling you get when you are at the same wavelength with your people.

It might be a GENerational issue…

This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.

How is that sane? How did this happened?

This has to be a bug? Right?

I’m pretty sure Swedish Public TV (SVT) has started using AI to generate content.

Watching ”Lokes hemlighet” with the kid. All the visions and dreams seam very AI generated.

Interesting thing with coding agents is that low complexity tasks that are hard because they require multiple small changes and would be easy but time consuming.

Are just as easy, but very very fast.

It’s one of the really good use cases.

BlueSky photographers!

What do you recommend do post-production for a casual photographer?

I’ve use Lightroom for 20y.

With the latest price change. I’m looking for options.

I only use it to adjust WB & Color. I use dehaze, vignette and sometimes sharpen. Smash auto a lot.

What are my options?
