Thank you @koin6 for highlighting the work that @govtinakotek and the state legislature are doing to fill the gap by funding transportation with the special session coming up.

It’s critical to keep the 50/30/20 split and fund @oregondot to maintain our infrastructure.

National Night Out is one of the best nights of the year.

It’s my favorite to come into your neighborhood and connect with community.

Thank you to everyone who invited us into your neighborhood last night!

These partnerships are so important as we share across the country what’s working and what’s not. So many of our cities are all working on the same issues.

Last week I joined other mayors from across the country in Albuquerque with Mayors Innovation Project.

We had discussions on Rethinking Public Safety, Upholding Local Democracy, Strategies for Heat Resilience, Addressing Homelessness, and took tours to see the city and what they’re working on.

Last week Council, PRAB, Senator Neron Misslin, and the Tualatin Riverkeepers paddled the Tualatin River from Cook Family Park.

It was a great way to be reminded of how awesome our backyard is and the importance of protecting it.

Thanks to Tualatin Riverkeepers for hosting us!

We’re so dependent on each other in the metro region, it’s important for Tigard to play its part understanding the importance of supporting projects that keep our community safely moving and connected.

Earlier this week alongside members of the R1ACT, I was able to tour the Abernathy Bridge replacement project.

It was fascinating to learn more about the construction of the bridge. We’re doing new things in Oregon with this project and I’m excited to see the progress and completion.

Congratulations on 70 years, Tigard Chamber of Commerce 🎉

I’m thankful for the strong partnership between the city and the Chamber. A strong economic business community means a stronger community for our residents to live, work, and play.

🌈 Today marks the anniversary of the Obergefell v. Hodges decision—a landmark moment when love won and marriage equality became the law of the land.

As Mayor of Tigard, I am proud to lead a community that believes everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the freedom to marry the person they love.

Great way to start the day with the Tigard Chamber!

I attended their annual meeting to hear about their successes and plans for the future.

Tigard is better when we work together to prioritize a strong economy built on supporting our local businesses.

We want you to work, live and play in Tigard!

I'm grateful for the partnership between the different agencies serving our community. The team at TVF&R take such care helping our community when they are in need and I was lucky to get to experience their compassion and passion for their jobs firsthand.
June 24, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Last month I attended TVF&R's Community Academy. It was a full 24+ hours of learning more about the district, hands on training including using jaws of life, spraying down a fire, and driving the engine, and then an overnight at Station 51 in Tigard taking all the calls with them.

It’s critical for cities to lead with vision, determination, and compassion. And we do that best when all cities come together.
June 23, 2025 at 4:15 PM
More importantly I spent time with other mayors and experts from across the country discussing the most important things in our cities like housing, immigration, childcare, and safety

Last week I attended @usmayors Annual Meeting in Tampa with host @janecastor. I met some great dogs and flamingos and luckily didn’t come across any alligators.🐊
