Recovering ultimate player. Active ultimate organiser, rules nerd & official. Tells computers what to do for a living, sometimes they even obey. More obsessed/terrified by the climate crisis every day.
My suspicion is that they've done it by empowering skilled leaders, but central/No 10 doesn't have its own equivalent success, so if they talk up what those others have done they think they'll undermine themselves.

Blows my mind all the data centers are getting built in Ireland where they're already risking blackouts rather than France where electricity is basically free there's so much of it.

Your Idol is an absolute banger I insist was written as a metal track first and then 'pop-ified' afterwards.

People treat it as "I'm not benefiting from or enabling this person's horrible behaviour, if anything I'm using them for my own benefit" to persuade themselves it's actually a good thing.

And then 6 months later they get a call "hey, I've been chatting with X and I think you'd be interested..."

Isn't bourbon technically a whiskey? (Or is that just a naming thing). So there's almost certainly one of them you'd like an equivalent of?

They also renamed Spider-Man to Spidey in that show. There is no Spider-Man in it. They even made a mini episode where they chose their new names.

Actually it's a rota system. Individual assignments assume that everyone sleeps at the same time.

Or something, I tried.

Don't know if they've learnt from Putin but it's certainly the same playbook.

The brazenness of "doing a horrible thing, not trying to hide the horrible thing was also denying the horrible thing is happening" is absolutely an authoritarian powermove

I think this is more a "white man sees a woman get *his* promotion" phenomenon you see everywhere else rather than a far right infiltration, tbh. As the clergy/bishop/synod trend more female and progressive those on the right will get more extreme, but there'll be proportionally less of them

Yet another quote from someone saying they need an SUV when they admit *in the quote* that it's not good enough for what they do. What they actually need is an estate car.

The trouble is they're hard to find now, and it's just easier and normal to get an SUV instead.
