I mustered up the courage to introduce myself, hopefully they could overlook my awkwardness. 🙇🏻‍♀️

Some of them will come for the EAJS in Tohoku University next September and I really look forward to seeing them again. 💃🏻

It was a great experience reconnecting with old colleagues from Tohoku University, meeting professors I’ve encountered at past events, and even finally talking to some whose names I’ve only known from the books I’m currently using in my literature review. 🤩

This will be my first time traveling beyond a two-hour time difference, so I’m both excited and a super nervous. Wish me luck!

I submitted the abstract last year so the topic is mainly about the tourism narrative in Inakadate Village. If I can rewrite my master thesis, perhaps this is the direction I would like to do. 😆

1 presentation done and currently my social energy is on minus after being an extrovert for the last 3 days.

But I had a blast in Kobe. ✨

As I just finished my presentation, I wish I could be more eloquent during the Q&A session. I have all the answers in my head, but my faucet of thought and vocabularies often doesn't flow well. 😓

Or according to the Sensei who specialized in tombstone and funeral, the cremation in Japan is not "well-done" but "medium" instead. 😅

Probably won't have time to see Himeji Castle, but I'm excited to explore Kobe and hopefully snag some tasty but kinda affordable Kobe beef. 😋

This will be the farthest I've ever travel for presentation so far and I'm a bit nervous. 😅
