He was deported to #Auschwitz from the #Theresienstadt ghetto on 18 December 1943. He did not survive.

6 February 1936 | A German Jewish girl, Rut Mandel, was born in Berlin.

She arrived at #Auschwitz on 2 March 1943 in a transport of 1,500 Jews deported from Berlin. She was murdered in a gas chamber after selection.

6 February 1944 | A transport of 1,214 Jewish men, women & children deported from occupied France arrived at Auschwitz.

After the selection, 166 men & 49 women were registered. The remaining 999 people were murdered in gas chambers.

One of them was Louise Pikovsky. She was 16.

6 February 1942 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Levie Swart, was born in Amsterdam.

In August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber. His elder sister, Frouwke was killed with him.

6 February 1943 | A transport of 2,000 Jews deported from the ghetto in Białystok arrived at #Auschwitz.

After the arrival selection made by SS doctors, 85 men and 47 women were registered in the camp. The remaining 1,868 people were murdered in gas chambers.

He was deported to #Auschwitz from Drancy with his family on 10 February 1944. He was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

31 January 1933 | An Italian Jewish boy, Mario Calò, was born in Rome.

He arrived at #Auschwitz on 23 October 1943 in a transport of 1,035 Jews deported from Rome. He was among 839 people murdered after selection in gas chambers.

29 January 1943 | The RSHA ordered the deportation of all Roma people from Germany and German-occupied territories to Auschwitz. At least 23,000 Sinti & Roma were later deported there. Most were murdered.
