For reference, the paint is PPG Multi-Pro in Windsor Way (different color additives can affect VOC levels). The formula is advertised as “Low VOC” and “Low Odor”, and in my opinion it’s definitely living up to both claims.

The coverage is kind of meh (it’s taking about 3 coats, over a light beige wall) BUT It barely smells like anything (literally, the painter’s tape I used has a stronger paint smell imo) and these are the readings on our Airthings from about 5 minutes after I stopped painting!

The overall air quality is rated as “fair”, but the readings are also showing 60% humidity (rated “fair”) and a temperature of 81.1°F (no rating but the line is red in color), presumably because our upstairs AC is currently broken and it’s early September in Maryland, so VOC levels aren’t the only factor contributing to the overall rating.

Someone please explain to me what makes this a good idea
A large open vat of clay cat litter, approximately the diameter of a kiddie pool, as an endcap display in PetCo. The cat litter is loose and has spilled onto the 30 pound buckets of litter surrounding the “SoPhresh” brand display and across the floor in all directions. There is a scoop in the large bin, presumably for self-service cat litter container refills, but there are no clear instructions for this process, and no employees were anywhere nearby to supervise or assist.

A photo of a messy hardwood floor. There are a number of toys scattered about, but the focal point is four colorful segmented sensory blocks from the children’s educational show NumberBlocks. Each of them have been placed on their ends in an arc pattern with a couple inches between. The blocks, in order, are the number Five (5 blue squares stacked vertically), Three (3 yellow squares stacked vertically; for those unfamiliar with the show, it must be said that Three has the worst personality of all the characters), Two (2 orange squares stacked vertically), and Four (a green 2x2 square made of smaller squares). Because each block is filled with clear liquid, the faces of each NumberBlock are just barely visible on the opposite side of the block from the camera, giving the effect that they’re all facing the same direction toward the center of the arc. The other objects scattered across the floor include a black and white spotted Little People cow, a purple exercise ball, a couple of colored MagneTiles, part of a black towel, a yellow circular puzzle piece, a silicone broom, and a transparent blue acrylic box full of kids’ art supplies, because a toddler and 4 neurodivergent adults live here. If this description is confusing or unclear, please feel free to ask questions or give me feedback — these blocks are hard to describe but you deserve to understand what’s going on if it’s interesting to you! ❤️ This photo shows a different angle of the previous picture, offering a bird’s eye view of the newly constructed henge to better show the shape of the arc. The yellow circular puzzle piece and red triangular MagneTile are more prominent, and the Fisher-Price toddler toy version of the Nintendo Switch has become visible in the corner of the photo near the cow and art box.
