In the 16th century, domestic animals were put on trial in parts of Europe. They were regarded as legitimate legal subjects. In one case, a pig was hanged for killing an infant. The distinction between humans and animals was not that solid at the time :)

Haven’t crossed it, but last summer, I rented a boat and together with my family we sailed around the canals and harbor in Copenhagen. On that occasion we sailed under the circle bridge, and it’s beautiful from underneath as well 👌
