"'Eric Adams is willing to risk someone getting killed on Bedford Avenue in order to secure the vote from this community' a City official told Hell Gate last month"
Under the cover of a sweltering New York City night, workers took an ear-splitting power washer to blast away the green paint on Bedford Avenue's protected bike lane, as a small crowd of transit advocates, reporters, and Orthodox Jewish men watched.

I understand NYPD are still advising for those in the building to remain sheltered in place. Thinking of everyone there, hope all remain safe.
This 345 Park situation is pretty scary. Hope everyone else in the building is ok. It’s a big property and I know a lot of people had to shelter in place while this was happening
The local Fox affiliate says at least 6 people were shot

Great news for personal injury lawyers like me.

I want to thank the Adams administration for deliberately making a popular roadway more dangerous.

It takes real courage to know that your policy decision will lead to serious injuries and death, and proceed anyway.

Complete dereliction of duty from the Mayor and DOT. This will not keep New Yorkers safe.

Story to come...

Protected #bikenyc routes are critical, but these wide parking lanes are such a gimme to functionally allow double parking.

I bike this corridor fairly often... this is a pretty mid proposal considering what the geometry could allow.

Formalized #bikenyc routes are nice, but def weak sauce overall.
