I just remembered my sticky post from twitter, so I had to post it here as well. Just in case, you need an idea for a game with at least one customer.
The most fantastical thing in German D&D sessions is "the trains will arrive when you need them."

I just made 5 commits in a row! I'm sooo productive on my hobby project!

One was a swap from asset to package, one was a new 3rd-party asset, one was an amend and the other one was just split because I could. Looks good on the graph, though.

When do I finally get my noodles with hamburger flavor?

This is like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound but having been Through It and now having been a Lead, here are a few things I do to help:

- Always make sure non-standup meetings have agendas and appropriate titles. Yes, even if it's bad news - make sure that agenda involves a Plan.
Real talk: has anyone studied this "I'm about to be laid off" phenomenon in game workers? Because it's a near-universal experience. It's probably largely a textbook "little t" traumatic fight/flight response, but the pervasiveness of it is really troubling.

My brain: Oh fuck have I been laid off

no cheating, post your lock screen

I actually love the "show me the current weather as lock screen background" feature, so I started using it as soon as it became available

Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition is pretty nice. I have to sink waaay more time into it, though. But this first hour was great.

I finally did some (very minor) work on the farm space sim again. I had some ideas I wanted to note down and also scrap the old prototype, as it was not focused enough.

I'm somewhere in the endgame of Chef Life and some of the recipes are broken. I'd love to fix them with a hack/mod, but unfortunately, Cyanide/Nacon decided to ship the game compiled as IL2CPP binaries. Sorry, but no, I ain't gonna deal with that. You order your soup cold, you get your soup cold.

I finally came around to watch Moana 2 and it was surprisingly good, but you can totally feel the lack of Lin-Manuel Miranda in the music which I really loved in the first movie. Also, we got a villain song (I guess) which was also fine. But I never fully warmed up to the crew, as I'd hoped to.

One of my hobbies? Trying to fit free for board game rules into implementable data structures.

I just love to digitalize board games. I'm not the biggest idea-guy myself, so I really love to take ideas of other people and try to shape them into code. Also I have no people to play boardgames with...

Okay, so based on my filters on the Zombies vs Vampires sale, there aren't many puzzle games with vampires and not enough grand strategy games. Is this a niche that can be filled or is it a niche because no one wants it? I like vampires more than zombies, they seem to be able to hold a conversation.

It's nice coming back to projects that you had to put on hold, because life can be only stressful up to a point and you can dive right in without having to figure out what the hell you were doing 3 months ago.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. Alternative title: Shao Jun on the quest to get her box back!

I finally finished Assassin's Creed Unity. Even to this day, the game is buggy and feels unpolished. It still looks gorgeous, though. But it made me wanna rage quit more than all other ACs except maybe for the first, because that aged like milk (unfortunately). Looking forward to Syndicate.

I was just trying to open an application on windows like I always do: Hit the Windows-button on my keyboard and start typing. But nothing came up. I had to go to the settings, to disable all the web-slop that was coming in. How does Microsoft think users use their OS?

It's funny how a game that consists only of cooking lots of (real) dishes made me a better cook. Mostly because it teaches you the "meta" of cooking: How to organize yourself while working in a kitchen. Also, it made me try out some recipes that looked really nice when rendered in Unity.

ANNO 117 really feels back to the roots. Land units look similarly structured to 1701 while the tech tree was first introduced in 1503. But holy hell: Diagonal roads!

I love these games they are my childhood (and were all made close to my hometown).

OK, this is wild.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.

What the HELL?

Speaking of Gordon and Chef Life: If you create a new character and chose the "male" body type, all the presets are set to "this is as close to Gordon Ramsay as this game can get". You can't change a lot of things about the character (mostly textures and colors), but all of that is set to "Gordon".
It's a shame though that when I have Gordon Ramsay screaming on the second screen, I have to mute the funky music of the game. What a shame.
a man in a chef 's uniform is standing in a kitchen with a pencil in his eye .
Alt: Gordon Ramsay in his signature chef uniform being incredibly disappointed.

Also, I never thought, I'd say this, but I really love playing Chef Life. I love cooking and food in general and this game is really intimate with its small game world and highly detailed food and lovely characters. And it feels so incredibly French, I love it.

When the elections were in East Germany, I played Wolfenstein: The New Order. Right now, I play Assassin's Creed Unity. I know this might be coincidence, but I feel like if I'd play less games with political themes, the world would be a better place.

"You haven't used Java in over 6 months, do you want to uninstall?" is not a question I expected from the Java installer but also a reminder to boot up Minecraft every once in a while...

Thank you Canada for providing voice actors to AC Unity that can both speak French without sounding like native English speakers and also English without sounding like native French speakers.

I love the way the Civ games are so extremely "alternate universe". I just finished a game as Denmark where I liberated India from the Zulu and had a very strong alliance with Brazil and Greece against the Inka. I think the only thing remotely realistic was the extinction of the Maya... by Greece.
