Different times, though I wonder how much of the rebellion against the label/radio/dj stuff was kayfabe. In any case, the Roses had very high opinions of themselves which I'm sure didn't help things. Oasis seemed to learn the lesson and waited until they were huge before they became insufferable.

It took 30 years of dedicated effort for China to create these dependencies, and there’s no magic “undo” button that the US/EU can press to make them go away anytime soon. It will take sustained effort on our part, not tariffs and belligerence.

I agree. What he’s doing with ICE is creating a generational Latino hatred of the GOP and they will never vote Republican again.

This is what people like Dan Carlin and Annie Jacobsen have been arguing for a while. The entire edifice rests on norms that the average person has no understanding of. Even the people breaking things today don’t get it. They will go to their graves never knowing why.

Someone was dropped off in one at my kids school and they were so embarrassed they begged their parent not to drive them in it ever again. It hasn’t been seen since.
