Brain age has a very small predictive value and other predictors are better.

We find that the treatment (disease modifying) at 12-year follow-up has the largest effect on disability progression and processing speed decline.

Baseline disability and processing speed are the second most meaningful variables for their progression.

We used a multiverse approach, using as many sensible analysis pathways as computationally feasible.

Why? Well, the combination of variables matters. In fact so much that opposing conclusions can be reached.

That is also the case in multiple sclerosis research.
