worked with drug industry for 30+ years No fan of much of what they do But taking a promising early stage drug to market is very expensive and high risk, there needs to be a return to justify capital. Any other model is slower with fewer new drugs. can't defend price here but it can't be peanuts

Buying a drug direct on TrumpRx at a 50% discount from list price is WAY more expensive than your copay if you have insurance.
And medicaid price already is discounted so, again, no real savings
And no constraints on how high pharma can price new drugs.
