😵 This is indeed bad... How can any EU negotiator or official be comfortable with such a clear statement after all the ongoing work on the White Paper and related initiatives? There is no future for the EDTIB with the US on board, and arms trade should not be used as leverage in EU trade deals...
Let’s see what “substantially increases” means in practice… it could be restricted to Ukraine purchases. Not a good look for a Union supposedly seeking to build its own defence industry… smells of the trade negotiators getting their hands on defence policy. Never good!
