I just read the Trump memorandum condemning Chris Krebs. It's revolting. It turns truth on its head—saying Krebs "falsely and baselessly denied that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen" (!)—and sets the might of the Justice and Homeland Security Departments against this one man. It's outrageous.

Who will speak up for servicemembers endangered by Trump’s reckless incompetence? The Venezuelan makeup artist sent to an El Salvadoran prison with no hearing cannot protect himself. Nor can the Tufts graduate student thrown into a van by masked agents for writing an op-ed.

What message does this send to small business owners getting clobbered by Trump’s tariffs? How are seniors supposed to fight back as Trump and Musk close one Social Security office after another? Are cancer patients hoping for government-funded medical breakthroughs on their own?

It’s so pathetic that no Republican is brave enough to forcefully oppose Trump on behalf of those brave enough to serve our country.
