The right has, for the last generation, been waging a war on education. Universities are bending over to religious fanaticism and political pandering instead of defending the integrity of their faculty, and thereby their work. Higher Ed as we know it is not long for this world. What’ll replace it?

The new mirrors the old… a doctor said I had this when I showed up at an emergency room. I have a chronic history of GI issues and nausea, but that didn’t matter. They labeled me with this, and to the side treated me for IBS.

So far it looks like three missile strikes, which Indian MOD claimed were on Jaish-e-Mohammed & Lashkar-e-Taiba’s headquarters.
Pakistan shot down two Indian fighters, and a helicopter, per their PM. The model taken down isn’t used by the Indian Air Force as a missile carrier.

A friend of mine is going down and seeing the situation at the location of a DHS raid, a community alert went out this morning but I’ll continue in this thread if I learn more about times/victims/or other details.

More info probably to come. I hope to be in contact with the victims and after they can talk to a lawyer, get things sorted to seek compensation for this, I hope to come back with more details about some red flags with the warrant…

Their electronics were confiscated in the initial sweep, they were kept away from their phones to contact their lawyer. They had to try from a neighbor’s device.
Police were openly hostile towards myself and another activist and friend of mine who led me to the story.

A mix of Feds dressed tactical-casual and Sheriffs Deputies with badge numbers and names obscured were in and around the house, denying the occupants entry while eating lunch in their dining room.
There were blatant #2A, #4A, and I’d even say #3A violations against this couple.

This was a liberal-oriented event, to not sugar coat things. What wasn’t said was that we need to fight back against it- with force if we have to. These are our people that the feds want to alienate. Who our government has made clear they want gone, dead or alive. This has ALL of the stakes

This post’s mostly a photo dump, the speakers were excellent but it was a planned affair so all the local stations with their fancier cameras got the public speeches.
At the end, we heard some more personal stories from organizers, which were genuinely inspiring but too long of videos for Bluesky

Early this afternoon, protesters against the Arizona ICE bill demonstrated outside the Capitol. Representatives from a number of local organizations and a rep from ACLU gave talks and marched around the Capitol lawn.

On 2nd st. as the protest started to die down, police arrested a teenager. None of the officers explained to him why he was being detained. A man who said he was the boy's cousin told me that he was wrongly accused of "bumping into" one of the cops. No officer claimed to had seen the alleged offense
