as of this week, when you verify your account by updating your username from a default like emily.bsky.social to your website @emilyliu.me, your former bsky.social username is reserved for you automatically (and prevents impersonators from claiming it). you can revert back to it at anytime

When we survive this dark chapter and there are sane people back in charge, can we agree that education and specifically civics education to ensure an informed, educated citizenry will be a high priority?

Perhaps I’m using this wrong but I would really like to use Bluesky as a news feed of sorts. However every time I launch the app I can’t figure out where I am with respective to the last time I used it. Something like “75 new posts” would be helpful. Right now it feels disorienting.
