The woman yells, "Swim to shore Sally! We are here to help you!"
The mermaid replies, "NEVER!"
"Is the call of the sea that strong?" asks the brunette whose name is Ophelia.

In the '70s, Hayao Miyazaki tried to revive the cartoons of his youth. And he kept mentioning Fleischer's Mr. Bug Goes to Town.

He loved its animation and use of "space," and the physical way its characters navigate its world. We look into the story:

I really hate to have to do this but i just had a deer jump in front of my work van (and everday car) on the highway and total the bumper/fender and I need to open some emergency commissions to help cover the cost of repair and help me stay afloat while it's in the shop.
