Hamilton Water is currently addressing a watermain break near Aberdeen Ave and Kent St. Aberdeen Ave will be closed between Queen St S to Fairmount Ave W with work expected to be completed by 1:00 am. on January 13, 2025.

Hamilton Water is addressing a watermain break near King West & Paradise North in Westdale. Bike lanes along this stretch will be temporarily closed & vehicular traffic restrictions will exist. All work to be completed by 6 PM, Dec. 13, 2024.

Supreme Court of Canada clears path for provinces to join BC opioid lawsuit. Opioid toxicity has killed 47,162 people across Canada since 2016. (Globe/Mail Nov 30,2024). Sanis Health & Shoppers (both owned by Loblaws), & Sandoz Canada (Rexall) were opposing BC’s efforts.

Walmart Canada joins Loblaws in calling for ending property controls/restrictive covenants. Worth monitoring the ongoing investigation of Canada's Competition Bureau into Big Grocery/Big REIT. My city knows the impact of food deserts on neighbourhoods esp during a time of rising food insecurity.

Bike lanes on east side of Locke St S., btwn Main St W & King St W will also be closed

Water service interruptions will occur in area.
