Sewing machine repair places also have people who pick up and do it. You can ask at a better hair salon: some have sharpeners who stop by periodically to pick up their shears.

I tell them I have gay JW friends who’ve been shunned and I have a difficult time with a church that doesn’t love all their people. It’s led to some interesting conversations but they leave nicely. Last time I gave them cuttings of whatever flowers and herbs were in front garden.
